Just promise me that you will never ever quit.
You know what? Scratch that.
Promise that to yourself.
You deserve a better life than the one you’re living right now. (Hindi ka naman aabot dito sa part na ‘to ng letter ko for you if you’re already contented and satisfied, ‘di ba?)
Eto kasi ‘yung napansin ko ah?
Sobrang taas ng motivation sa una kasi lahat bago. Bagong routine, bagong food, bago ‘yung feeling.
And then after a few to several weeks, nawawalan na ng gana.
“May sense ba talaga ‘tong ginagawa ko?”
“Ano ba ‘tong pinasok ko? Bakit ko ba pinapahirapan ‘yung sarili ko?”
“Ok na siguro ‘to.”
Case in point:
I have this mentee na freelancer. Introvert s’ya so wala s’yang kakilala sa gym. Then one day, nakita n’ya ‘yung friend n’ya na freelancer din so tuwang tuwa s’ya kasi finally, may gym buddy na s’ya. 🥳
Ayun.
The second time he saw her?
After 4-5 weeks daw yata ‘yun.
The third time he saw her?
…
…
…
Wala pa ulit (as of this writing). 🥲
And nope.
It wasn’t because magka-iba sila ng schedule ng punta sa gym ah?
Twice pa lang talaga nagpupunta ng gym ‘yung friend n’ya. (Sayang membership fees. 🥲)
Now, I’m NOT saying that it will happen to you too.
It’s just that you have to have a mindset so strong that you will not be easily affected by the challenges that you’re going to encounter such as stress, fatigue, unsupportive people around us, pressure of seeing immediate results, strong negative emotions, busy schedule, lack of motivation, and more.
Not to mention the most difficult of them all: The feeling that you’re all alone in this journey.
(Although to be completely honest with you, ako mismo tinamaan at nadapa d’yan sa mga ‘yan. See my story above if you skipped it.)
But if you don’t want all of that, here’s my suggestion:
